The Training Squadron 35 (VT-35), nicknamed the "Stingrays" are a United States Navy training squadron assigned to vCSG-3. Student aviators assigned to VT-35 train on the basics of flight in a multitude of platforms including the F/A-18C Hornet, F-14B Tomcat, AV-8B Harrier, A-10 Warthog, F-16C Viper and UH-1H Huey. Trainees begin by flying their desired platform while learning the basics of flight than later progressing to learn more advanced skills such as aerial refueling, air-to-air and air-to-surface tactics. Their callsign is ​Sting.
